terms
The terms of the sale.
Last updated 21 August 2026
These cover buying a copy. What you may then do with the copy is governed by the licence file inside the download, which is the document that wins if the two ever disagree.
What you are buying
One download of Vortex, currently version 1.2.0, for macOS, Windows or Linux, for US$10. A licence to run that build on your own machines or your team’s, with no seat count, no expiry and no activation. It does not stop working if you never buy anything from us again.
A later version is a separate purchase at the same US$10. There is no subscription and no renewal date. Skipping a version costs you that version and nothing else: the build you have keeps running exactly as it did.
Delivery
The download is delivered immediately after Stripe confirms the payment. If it does not arrive, write to developer@vortexssh.com and we will get it to you; a failed download is not a completed sale, and we do not treat it as one.
Refunds
There are none. The sale is final once the download is delivered. What the software does, what it does not, and the one limit still open are all on the front page, so the decision can be made before paying rather than after.
One exception, and it is the law rather than a concession. A consumer in the EU or the UK has a statutory right to withdraw from a digital purchase within fourteen days, which a paragraph on a website does not remove. Where that right and the line above disagree, the right wins, and asking for it will not be treated as a favour.
What we do not promise
The software is provided as it is. It is tested, the front page describes how and links to the numbers, and it is still software: we do not warrant that it is free of defects or that it fits a particular purpose of yours. It is a tool for reaching machines that matter, and the judgement about what you run on them stays yours.
To the extent the law allows, BlazeOps Enterprise’s liability for anything arising out of the software or this sale is limited to what you paid for it. Nothing here limits liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.
Other people’s code
Vortex includes open-source components under the MIT, BSD and ISC licences and the SIL Open Font License. Those are licensed to you by their own authors, not by us, and their notices ship inside every copy of the app because several of those licences require it.
Governing law
The sale is governed by the law of Malaysia, and that is where a dispute about it would be heard.
